Mobile phone should be allowed to school. .

Communication models have changed dramatically in the last 10 years. In particular, The cell phone is not just a verbal device, But a device to the largest repository of information on the planet. Studies show 75% of the world's population has a mobile phone. While only 40% have some form of a computer at home. A mobile phone is more than just a game machine or a camera. It is a learning assistance tool. 27% of students have a learning or developmental disability. A quick search of Google play shows thousands of apps for assisted learning. Schools are a center of learning. By prohibiting mobile phones, You could be impairing the learning ability of 27% of the population of students. Certain restrictions on devices in school could be explored. Certain rules. However, An outright ban is an excessive provision for which the benefits do not clearly outweigh the negatives of so many students being left behind.

Free breakfast programs in the US feed 10.1 million...

There should be rewards for success in school, versus punishment for failure to attend.

This problem could be addressed by subsidizing school supplies or rewarding good attendance records with additional cash. Cutting benefits will only hurt the children we are trying to help, with their families deprived of the resources to feed them or care for them. Free breakfast programs in the US feed 10.1 million children every day1. Providing meals, mentors, programs that support and help students are ways to help them get along better in schools. There are already 14 million children in the US that go hungry, and 600 million children worldwide that are living on less than a dollar a day2. Why punish those families that have trouble putting their kids in school, which only hurts those children more? There should be rewards for good grades, and reduction to the cost of school and above all programs so that children don't have to sit in school hungry and confused. 1 United States Department of Agriculture, "The School Breakfast Program",[Accessed July 21, 2011].  2 Feeding America (2010), "Hunger in America: Key Facts", [Accessed July 21, 2011]. and UNICEF, "Goal: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger", [Accessed July 21, 2011].

The act 'grants the Pentagon access to directories of all...

School children are too young to target for military service

School children should be protected from targeted appeals for jobs they are unprepared for, both physically and emotionally. The army is short of manpower due to high casualty rates and the unwillingness of current soldiers to reenlist. This means that they are very keen to get into schools to sign up young people. But it is not right to let them get at students who are too young to vote, or even drive. 16 and 17 year olds are not grown-up enough to make life and death decisions, like joining the army. They may not be able to see through exciting presentations or resist a persuasive and experienced recruitment officer. Under the No Child Left Behind Act, military recruiters collect data on 30 million students. The act 'grants the Pentagon access to directories of all public high schools to facilitate contact for military service recruitment'1. A huge database contains their personal details, including social security numbers, email addresses and academic records. The purpose of this is to allow recruiters to pester young people with messages, phone calls and home visits. Schools should be safe places to grow and learn, not somewhere to sign your life away before it has even properly begun. Upon enlisting, recruits enter a contract that legally binds them to the Armed Forces for up to six years2; school children should not be exposed to pressure to sign their young adolescence away. 1 Berg, M. Sugary drinks will hardly make you super obese. ... It's...

Soft drinks should be sold at school

Ah the final round. Let's look at your first statement "Schools do cares about their student's achievements and wellbeing, because if their students is healthy and achieves more, it can really made the schools be extremely proud" The first sentence has mistakes in spelling and grammar. Now, the schools only care about the grades and money. Teachers and staff do care about the students, they do have hearts and will help you if you have issues. However, they won't hurt their income. Also there are smart fat kids, so "health" isn't a big part that determines how smart they are; mental illnesses and how quickly they learn and their choice to learn determines how smart they are. "You are just saying schools should feeds its students sugary drinks and made them overweight." Sugary drinks will hardly make you super obese. While they do increase weight, it isn't on the scale of eating a whole cake. It's also to lose the weight you've obtained from one or two cans of soda. Run for 30 minutes. "Then, the student's parents gonna blame the schools or perhaps put Sugary drinks will hardly make you super obese. While they do increase weight, it isn't on the scale of eating a whole cake. It's also to lose the weight you've obtained from one or two cans of soda. Run for 30 minutes. "Then, the student's parents gonna blame the schools or perhaps put school to a judgement in the migration." Honestly, I doubt this. They're going to blame their own child for being careless. THE SCHOOLS DON'T FORCE YOU TO DRINK THE SODA. It's up to you to drink it. "Schools should banned soft drinks, because if they not care for their student's wellbeing, it is against the law." Spelling errors again. Also, it's legal now to sell sodas, and no teachers or staff members are getting arrested for it. It's perfectly fine to sell soda in schools.

    School Vouchers are the shizz!!!

Well, it seems as if my opponent has been silenced either with account deletion or banning. I cannot speak to the fact that this a good debate, but I tried to give what I knew on the subject and argue to that point of view. Vouchers in in theory a great idea, but probably will detract from the current public education if they are implement, thus they should not be seen as a viable solution to financial woes, especially considering their bias toward the rich. Make your decision thence! I know that you will probably vote your own opinions, but there is nothing I can do to stop you. Thanks!

Mobile phone should be allowed to school. .

Ok then. . As you wish my friend. . . My reasons are given below. . . Cell phones should not be allowed in schools as they will cause distraction for both students and teachers. Even the classes might get disturbed if any student is found fiddling with their phone. The student will be at a loss as they will not be able to keep up with the class. You supply your reasons and I will too give my more reasons further. . . .

Should The School Dress code be strictly enforced

I don't think it should because why does it affect other people if I want to wear a tank top that has spaghetti straps it is my body and if I want to show cleavage I should be aloud to it teaches girls that it is up to them to not distract guys guys don't have as many rules in the dress code as girls and if you do break the dress code they make you feel like you are a slut its not like if you are wearing a tanktop that isn't revealing he will be thinking "oh look at that sexy shoulder it is so distracting" and if he does he will be distracted by anything a girl is wearing or not wearing."

Why should it be up to the girl to not distract they guy if it is hot and a girl is wearing a tanktop and shorts because it is hot and that distracts the guy she is the one who is punished she has to put on more clothes and then she has to burn up and if a guy rapes someone he most likely has some sort of mental problem he probably picked her because he could overpower her it doesn't matter what she is wearing in some cases it might be because of what she is wearing but not most.

Ofcourse academics is one of the most important things...

Public Schools Should not Fund School Bands.

My opponet gurantees that band would be the first to go if the goverment cut funding to schools. Is this really true? There no evidences to support this claim. My opinion is if Federal government cut funding it gives to schools the first thing that would good would not be band but maybe a smaller extracurricular activity like the chess clubs. What I am trying to say is that many students participate in band. So why cut funding for something that many students seem to enjoy and help them mentally more than other extracurricular activity. Another reason schools should fund band is because it would good on your college application. Ofcourse academics is one of the most important things colleges look for when students are appling for college but colleges also look at what extracurricular activities ,like band, students participant in. Students that are involve in extracurricular activities shows colleges that they can make a worthy contribution toward something, maintain a long commentment, and shows that a student can manage their time and priorties [2]. My opponent miss understood the music help students smarter. My opponent said "They can listen to music in their free time." which he thought listening to music help improve people intelligents like playing music. What I meant in my first argurment that playing music like singing or playing an instrument improves your knowlege not just listening to it. Learning how to play music is quite difficult, you have to learn the different notes, technique, how to read time signiture, and etc. After learning quarter, whole, half, and eight notes 2nd and 3rd graders scored 100% higher than their classmates in fractions [1]. And in your arguement on "Acticile 1 Section 8 U.S. Constitution states what the Federal Government has the right to fund" which I could not find in the source you gave us. How schools funding band uncontititonal? [1]http://oakleafband.com... [2]http://www.collegeboard.com...
