Well thats what it sounds like from your above statement...

    School Uniforms benefit schools

"It helps studeents express themselves and be more creative." Yeah but you're talking about finding a look. "Clothes are an important way that kids express themselves in a relatively harmless way. When you take this away, kids may express themselves in a more negative way." So you are of the belief that kids expressing themselves with clothing will take from the other ways in which they could express themselves. Well thats what it sounds like from your above statement anyway. So by your logic allowing students to wear their own clothes would take from their expressing themselves and being creative in subjects like art, english and music. "But students need two sets of clothes, school clothes and regular clothes, making the ost much more." I'll give you that, but its a small price to pay to free up all that creativity that could be put to a better use than finding a look, isn't it? And why doesn't the student just buy the uniform if hes that stuck for money. There is no huge difference in the prices you found for us seeing as you left out the belt to go with the jeans and t-shirt. Your argument is based on the fact that someone might only be able to afford one pair of clothes but you haven't put forward any argument for why the jeans and t-shirt are a necessity. "Uniforms get tattered" Yes they do, but every student would be wearing the uniform to school every day. Whereas in a school where uniforms are not required a student who wore the same clothes to school every day would definitely be in the minority. In this way it would spare them embarassment. "and cost more to replace than regular clothes." The difference in cost is tiny if you don't include the belt. If the student kept his/her eyes on the floor on the way to the shop to replace the clothes, he/she would probably make up the difference. "It teaches kids to judge people based on how they look. That they all have too look the same in order to be equal." People in suits are generally a lot safer to approach that crack addicts. "Polo shirts show off a girl'surves, and can be very sexy." http://i68.photobucket.com... You'll be hard put to find a polo shirt that comes close to even being half as distracting as that. You probably cant even remember what we were debating after looking at that picture. "Outsiders always stand out, they are adults. Also, school ID's fix this probem easily." Outsiders have to be adults? "Also, school ID's fix this probem easily." How much are the poor kids going to have to pay to get their ID's printed?
